About Us
Living Water World Missions (LWWM) is a 501 c3 non-profit ministry that exists to share the good news of Jesus Christ in the context of installing sustainable water purification systems to people in need throughout the world.
Through LWWM, mission teams are deployed throughout the world to install clean water filter systems that are designed to produce up to 300 gallons of clean drinking water per hour.
Typically the water systems are installed in churches, orphanages, schools or medical clinics, and are capable of providing sufficient clean drinking water for an entire community. In 2014 we began a partnership with Compassion International, a child sponsorship program, to install clean water systems in many of their sites in Guatemala.
As of January 2024, LWWM has installed 103 water systems in Guatemala. In addition, LWWM has led other mission teams in installations in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Haiti, and Cuba.
An installation trip to Guatemala will typically be one week in length, from Saturday to Saturday, and may cost up to $1500.00 per person (including airfare). Prices vary based on the accommodations and the cost of travel at the time the trips are booked.
Families are welcome as well as people of all ages. The ages of past team participants range from two years to eighty-five years of age.
No previous experience is necessary. The most important qualifications are a willing heart, the ability to smile, and a desire to serve Christ by serving others. Trips to Central America do include working in high heat, humidity, and elevation. In order to go on a trip you must be physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. See application for detailed requirements.
A 10-member Board of Directors, made of from several different churches in California, oversees LWWM. The LWWM Board meets monthly to decide upon new installation destinations. We operate under a set of by-laws and board policy statements that clarify and give parameters to our mission.
