CEO Statement
What does it mean to count it all joy?
The word count is a financial term, and it means "to evaluate". When James says to "count it all joy", he encourages his readers to evaluate the way they look at trials. He calls believers to develop a new and improved attitude that considers trials from God's perspective. James wants believers to know to expect "trials of various kinds" (James 1:2) in the Christian life. We should be prepared and not caught off guard when a sudden trial comes upon us. Trials are a part of the Christian experience. Jesus told his disciples, "In this world you will have trouble" (John 16:33)
Certainly, these last two years have been a time of trouble, but nothing that has happened has come as a surprise to God. In this years Annual Report, we celebrate how God has sustained us through the trials and troubles of the last year and even allowed us to grow in ways that we could not have expected if events had not transpired in the way they did.
I hope that you will be encouraged by this report and access the links to see the videos referenced. They demonstrate how God was able to use the trials and troubles of this last year to grow his kingdom and the small part that we played in that process. None of which could have been possible without your partnership and participation in this work we are doing.
